The church of st. katherine

A beautiful church in a beautiful location…

This picturesque place of worship really is a hidden gem. It is hard to imagine a more inviting and beautiful location for a dream church wedding. It was built before 1207 by the Fossard family, who owned the Manor of Hexthorpe under Count Robert de Mortain (half brother to William the Conqueror) and has been recently fully renovated.

The Vicar of St Katherines, who also oversees the congregation of Wadworth church, is happy to discuss the marriage plans of couples outside our small parish.

Located literally next to The Meadow, wedding parties have the enviable ability to have the perfect backdrop for post ceremony photography and then to walk straight into their celebration venue!

St Katherine’s Church, The beautiful Barn then in The Wedding Meadow to the tipis, Loversall is the most wonderful place. Complete Catering Services for the wedding breakfast and Whole Hog & Sauce for the evening were both excellent and recommended by Steph. I would highly recommend to anyone, I just want to do it all over again! Joanne French, Mother of the groom, July 2016
